ChaCha is quickly becoming one the most popular and unique search engines. What makes this company so unique? ChaCha uses actual humans to help virtual users find exactly what they are looking for. A user can simple log onto their website, ask a question, and have a ChaCha worker find them a website/answer.This provides a customized and easy experience that produces amazing results. ChaCha has also launched something new: TextChaCha. TextChaCha allows cell phone users to text in questions and have a real person give them a customized answer is just a few minutes! Texting ChaCha is free for cell phone users and they can get answers to just about anything they're looking for. The system works great for people looking for phone numbers, weather, trivia questions, or movie times. ChaCha is on the verge of something wonderful with everything they offer! However, ChaCha has also become a top destination for people looking to work from home. Being a ChaCha guide can pay between $5-10 an hour - and this is good for an online job! A regular ChaCha guide mans the search engine component of the system. They had stopped hiring about a year ago, until recently when they launched TextChaCha.As a work-at-home connoisseur, I was very excited to hear that ChaCha was hiring and I jumped at the opportunity to apply. I quickly got hired as a TextChaCha SMS Guide. Exciting right? Not so fast. The trick about becoming a TextChaCha SMS guide is that they are strictly production based. Meaning, we get paid based on the number of searches rather than hourly. More importantly only .20 cents per search. This wage did not sound half bad at first, until I started working at it.If you do the math it becomes quickly apparent that there is no real income to be made as a TextChaCha SMS guide - the average search takes a little over two minutes to complete and during the busiest period a guide can get about 20 searches per hour. So, that adds up to $4.00 during the busiest period. I personally only average about $3 an hour. Not worth it to me.
So in the end becoming a TextChaCha guide will not produce a signifcant income, but it can earn you a few extra bucks if you would like to put the time in. The concept of the ChaCha system can be rewarding if you are hired as a search engine guide rather, that one that merely handles the text message sector. I hope that as ChaCha gains more popularity that it pays its workers a little bit more money!

I just started as a textChaCha guide about a week ago, and I totally agree with your assessment. The pay isn't bad if you already have an income and just want to earn a few dollars while watching TV, but 20 cents per search starts to look like slave wages when that is your only income :-). Still, I made $40 in the time that it took me to make $10 doing Cash Crate so I am going to stick with it.
